It's a chilling story, isn't it! I was familiar with the case before reading the book and already thought the husband was guilty, but the book gives you some fascinating insight into his mindset. It also lays out an interesting case for rampant narcissism + "diet pills" = murder.

Oh dear. I just now googled Jeffrey McDonald because I wanted to know what he looked like, and made the mistake of scrolling down too far. There were the crime scene photos of his children. Cannot unsee, but oh boy I wish I could :/

I've never seen the crime scene photos, but it was a horrific crime so I can imagine. The blood analysis makes it even more disturbing once you find out the chronology of events, IMO.
