I am going to agree with this so much!

I remember writing fic in my teenage years-- fic where I interact with the characters of my favorite video games. I still have the notebook, a 25 year old notebook that shows the wear of age. I look back at it and go "Wow, at least I was writing back then". Writing anything gives you practice, but also it helps you go through some of the harder things that adolescents have to go through.

If it weren't for my imaginings as a teenager, I wouldn't of been able to stand being bullied for things the 'at the time' unpopular things that I liked.
