The amount I care is really minimal and none of this answers my question of why anyone needs or wants to share it.

Like f!s may have a positive attitude about it but the fact is sharing self insert does open you up to getting shit from people who hate it, so if I wrote that type of fic I'd be more inclined to keep it private or only share with friends who showed interest.
