Right? It completely distracted me during the entire movie. I watched that ages ago, but it still bugs me to this day. What the fuck where they thinking??

Kangaroo-oid lifeform. In cramped conditions those legs are ungainly and ridiculous, but in the open and with others of her own kind she'd be able to bound across the desert at a high speed.
