Bath time!

Tub baths: do you like them or not? Do you take them often (provided you have access to a bathtub)? Do you use bath salts, oils, bubble bath? How long do you stay in the tub?

A real bath, a nice long soak in scented bubble bath, that is what I miss most since I've become disabled.

I always like them less than I think I do. But because I'm blind as fuck, they are a more convenient way for me to shave my legs while I wear my glasses so I can see what the fuck I'm doing.

I don't really like them. Can't bathe anyway now, only showers. Medical stuff isn't meant to be submerged.

Depends on my mood. I'm more of a shower girl, but when I'm really stressed I like to take a bath. Bubble bath or bath salts are nice. I usually bring a magazine in or flashcards to study and stay in 1/2-1 hour.

I miss baths but can't take them with the tub I currently have. No matter how much I clean, there's always some mildew or rust around the plug.

I take them them. But can only stand it for about 10 minutes before I feel like I am suffocating. They always seem like a good idea until I actually take one.

When I was a teenager I got kidney stones and due to a weird series of events I had to live with them for two months before getting them removed, and it got to the point where the painkillers weren't working anymore, but upping my dose made me sick - so the only thing that would reliably manage my pain was a hot bath - idk why, maybe it had something to do with the water pressure around my abdomen.

But tl;dr - baths have become a huge comfort for me in general and I love them. I love bath bombs (I love Lush) and bubble baths and salts, but as long its a super hot soak I am happy. How long I stay in depends - I would 15 minutes to half an hour usually, depending.

I once read the entirety of Battle Royale sitting in a bath.

Baths are awesome.

I love tub baths, but don't take them too often. I like bath salts, they're less messy than oils (although I use body oil when I get out of the tub). My favorite salts are chamomile, eucalyptus, grapefruit, and lavender. I don't like color/glitter bath bombs, they are way too messy. I prefer hot water and I like to sit and soak awhile before actually bathing. I like a dark bathroom lit with candles and sometimes I have a glass of wine in the tub. When I get out I like to wear my vintage silk kimono. :D

I love them, but I don't always have the time to commit to a good one. Def. a read a book in the bath type of person though.

I haven't taken a bath in years (broken tub), but I only enjoyed them when I needed to relax. I used bath salts from Luvmilk and stayed in for the duration of a Simpsons episode or two. I always felt like I was wasting water though, because I'd shower first and then step into the tub for the bath.

Aside from going to a sauna/jjimjjilbang/sento/onsen, I've only taken a proper bath once in my life that I can remember. I found it boring. The water cooled too fast, and what was I supposed to do with myself in there?
I also generally don't feel good about wasting that much water.

I take them every week on Sunday nights for about an hour. I use bubble bath and put the radio on in the bathroom. I usually bring a glass of wine in and just relax.

I like tubs that actually have some depth to them. I love my Mom's jacuzzi tub! I'm a fan of bath salts, usually lavender. I stay in for varying lengths of time. 'Til my podcast ends, until I reach the end of the fic I'm reading, at the end of the youtube video I'm watching, etc.

I take baths fairly often. I use bubble bath, sometimes with bath salts, and sometimes with bath bombs or bubble bars from Lush.

As for duration, I'm in there anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour and a half, maybe?

I'm a shower person. Last time I took a bath was a few years ago when my bathroom was being redone and the old sliding shower doors had been gotten rid of and the new curtain hadn't arrived yet.

I haven't had a bath since I was about 11. I used to have them as a kid but ever since the first time I had a shower I never went back. But I don't really like the idea of laying submerged in water for an hour or more, I want to clean myself and then get out.

I like them a lot, though I hate scrubbing the tub out before/after.

I tend to use homemade bath bombs. They're not that hard to make, I think about all I had to special order was the fragrance, citric acid, and colorant. (Despite what pintrest says, don't use food coloring. Food coloring is not safe to soak your junk in )

I like them in theory but in practice I really do not. The water always cools too much before I get in, it takes forever, and bathtubs aren't actually very comfortable. Plus it does not feel as clean as a shower. I haven't taken a bath in years.

Hot tubs, on the other hand...

Loved them when I was younger, and I like the idea of them, but no. I don't care for them at all.

I've tried taking a few baths in the past year for relaxation, with Lush bath bombs and bubble bath and everything, but I just don't enjoy them. I get bored. I can't stay submerged in the water -- if I lay back, I float and my top half (cross-length) gets exposed to the air and gets cold; if I sit up, then my chest and shoulders are exposed and cold. Even though I clean my tub regularly, I feel squeamish about sitting my bare ass down on the bottom.

Maybe if I had a huge claw-foot tub in a nice warm bathroom.

I don't really care for them. I can't even remember the last time I took a bath.

But I don't mind hot tubs.

Re: Bath time!

I'm too tall and too fat to get everything submerged in a standard bathtub. When I was living at my dad's place, I would use the soaking tub a couple times a month.

I would always read in the bath. Paperbacks back in the day, but they have waterproof e-readers now.

No, I don't like them. They're very uncomfortable (hard surfaces + old injuries + no way to sit submerged comfortably), get cold too quickly or else are way too hot and steamy. Plus, what am I supposed to do? I worry too much about wrecking things with water/steam to bring a book or tablet into the bathroom, so all that's left is to... stare at the wall?
