I think it's more that unlike the other parts, this is where continuity shuts out, because it's a new universe.

I keep hearing about this series. What's it about and is it good? Any major slashy stuff?

It's weird, grand, sweeping, OTT shounen. Or maybe seinen. Lots of really buff dudes wearing really ridiculous clothes fighting each other with really preposterous powers. It's bloody, action packed, and like I said, OTT.
It's also surprisingly international for a manga - it covers multiple generations of a family, and they travel to a whole lot of places, and they're also half-Japanese (in some generations).

Broadly, it's about the family of Joseph Joestar, who gets in trouble with this really nutter guy called Dio who is also a psycho and becomes a vampire(???) kind of. And then they all start manifesting these weird powers called Stands and there are a lot of crazies.

No kidding. I've found one. ONE. And only because it was written by an author I already check a lot for new fic.

I've never heard of it, but then, i'm not a big manga fan....

Looking at the art at google, I see nothing that looks like this.
And reading on Wiki, it doesn't say anything about anybody being disabled (just someone being a vampire and supernatural abilities).

Is the disability something that just happened, or what it a part of the characters from the beginning? The art in your secret is pretty awesome.

It's from part seven, Steel Ball Run, which hasn't been adapted into an anime or a movie yet. One of the characters is a paraplegic from the start of the story.

This manga run for 7 years and ended 6 years ago and it's in a wide market. It has been fully translated for years. It's not some obscure manga that started a year ago, it's extremely popular.

Are you kidding me? Popularity on FS =/= popularity among manga and anime fans. Go to any manganime forum and ask about Jojo. This shit is massive, it's one of the most recognizable and longest running manga EVER.
