Here's another thing I don't think I've seen anyone discussed: the comedy isn't dependent on anyone being profoundly embarrassed, embarrassingly stupid or awkward, or anything else that's clearly meant to make the audience cringe for funnies. People might get embarrassed or be awkward but it's a momentary lapse on a more everyday scale, for lack of a better description. And that doesn't happen often in comedy blockbusters anymore.
