I've never heard of Soul Set, but I'm willing to hate on Zero Escape. I tried the first one, and I consider it a perfect example of why NOT to use the Enneagram to create characters you expect your audience to be interested in.

I'd never heard of the Enneagram before, but I looked it up and I'm not seeing the one-to-one matches you seem to be implying. (Except maybe the real Zero as a Type 8?)

The creator did say in an interview that the characters were supposed to fit in those types, but he also mentioned that he started out writing stereotypes and then subverting them. Could be he did the same for their personality types, since a lot of them did do an about turn at the end of the game.
