You may think it's gross, but maybe that has more to do with your delicate system than the idea that words, you know, mean things, and people aren't obligated to adopt a bullshit meaning just because somebody wants to crawl into a box they don't fit in.

Nooot really. Or are you the same kind of person who says it can't be rape if a victim gets erect or has an orgasm?

What in the world does that have to do with this conversation?

Quite a bit, actually, when your argument is that if you get 'enjoyment' out of sex (ie, a physiological response), you can't be asexual.

nayrt but this argument is ridiculously weak. Asexual is not some kind of identity, it's just a description.

If you're a guy and you get boners when seeing other guys naked, there's a pretty good chance you're attracted to dudes, no matter what your brain says. You're not magically straight just because you mentally insist you are.

If you're someone who gets physical pleasure out of sex, you're likewise not asexual. That's okay. Who gives a fuck. It doesn't mean you start having to have regular sex, but you're still capable of enjoying sex.

"If you're someone who gets physical pleasure out of sex, you're likewise not asexual."

Except that's literally not what the definition is.

It's a description the way gay and lesbian is a description. Attracted to men, attracted to women, not attracted to anyone. Attraction doesn't negate physical responses.
