As far as nutrition goes, I'd be better off buying an apple pie than a case of ramen unless I also bought veggies to go in the ramen. I'd only even start to be okay with restricting SNAP beneficiaries from buying "unhealthy" foods if people got double the amount to spend on fruit and veggies. I've never been on food stamps and it just seems to be coming from the same "poor people shouldn't have cellphones or fun" bs mindset.
