Lust was great in that anime. In general, all the homunculi characterization was pretty amazing, and the battle between Ed and Greed at the end was so impactful.

I do think there are some things the manga/Brotherhood do better, but at the end of the day, my heart is with the 2003 anime. I think it's more tonally consistent, and really, that's the series that made me love Ed and Al and the world in the first place.
(Also I hated the manga's ending)
