No, I honestly did not. I posted it because it's an unpopular opinion thread, and this is an unpopular opinion.

I've never hurt an animal myself and I never would. I know plenty of people who say "omg, it's so sad the chickens are kept in small cages!" and I think "...they're going to be killed soon, so in the grand scheme of things, what does it really matter how big their cage is?" I don't see how that means I can't care about people, but okay. Whatever you say.

I guess I'm somewhere in the middle? Like, I agree that animals should be treated as humanely as possible even if they're being raised for food, but at the same time, I don't care enough to stop eating meat, because I love meat.

I'm pretty much the same, though for me it's also that most of the vegetarian/vegan alternatives to meat either 1. doesn't taste good or 2. makes me ill.
