Haha, really? I only ever knew it as the position with the bottom on top. Huh, I had no idea. So if I'm looking for a more dominant bottom, I can use that tag? Nice.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I was in a fandom where at least half if not more thought the same and in the end I gave up reading fics with the tag because while I like riding just fine as a sexual position, what I really love is messing around with dynamics and expectations and just because in a M/M context, it's really easy to project "bottoming = submissive", so it's really refreshing to have the bottom be more dominant.

I think the true, true origins of the term originates from the BDSM community but in fandom I think it can be used outside of BDSM context. So if you do search for it and BDSM spectrum stuff isn't your thing, be aware of that connection. And as I said, some of the time it's used as a substitute for riding/cowgirl position but yes, hopefully you will find something that you're after :)

Well, at least it's a start. :)

If we're talking AO3, finding something specific can be difficult. I remember trying to find submissive top/dominant bottom or younger top/older bottom etc. fics there, and the tags as such either didn't even exist or were wrangled together so strangely that they were either meaningless or sometimes even received the opposite meaning. Although to be fair, I still think the most AO3 tag problems come from the user side who use tags in a way that wasn't intended and isn't helpful to anyone.
