The "Jurassic Park fanboys won, nyah nyah! Fuck you, scientists!" nature of most of the reporting of the Tyrannosaurs skin impressions paper yesterday. Guess what? Even the authors of the paper said that the presence of scaly skin on the bottom of the animal doesn't mean the animal didn't have feathers on it's top.

To quote Tom Holtz: "Presence of fuzz or feathers =/= absence of scales. Presence of scales =/= absence of fuzz or feathers.".

Yep! Also, a lot of them have bare skin (like vultures and ostriches) too! Dinosaurs usually have a mix of body coverings.
