I've always found it interesting that the LOTR/Hobbit movies have their own fandom that is distinct from the book with so much movie-only fanon and shipping and stuff entirely unrelated to the books. And there are times when I can actually get behind that and ship things in the movies that I would never ship in the books.

Disney movie fandoms surprise me with how big they are (and how much of the fandom is adults). So many fics, headcanons, art, and other things. Just surprises me how much.

Again, the Narnia movies (still) have a decent-sized movie-only fandom with things entirely unrelated to the books. Surprises me that it is this active still.

I know I said this here before but I would have liked the Narnia movies to have been closer to the books in most aspects.

I agree. There are problems with the BBC adaptions, but I still kind of prefer them?

I still want them to get around to adapting the other books if only so my favorite of them, magician's Nephew, finally gets a movie. But yes, I wish they'd stick closer to the book. The first one was okay in that regard, but the second one strayed far too much. The third one strayed a lot as well (though for some reason that one has never bothered me quite as much as the second).

even the BBC version left out my favorite parts of Prince Caspian and put in some silly shit I didn't like at all that was never in the books.
