lol what 2) Wanting to be a strong woman who is treated as an equal does NOT make you a bad Christian by any stretch of the imagination. The Bible was not written by God. It was written by misogynistic male members of a misogynistic male-dominated society who wanted to convince women that they were inferior beings and used religious propaganda as an opportunity to do so. God loves you unrequitedly and would NEVER want you to demean yourself by feeling that you have to submit to a man in order to be considered a "good" Christian. Jesus treated everyone equally- tax collectors, lepers, prostitutes, adulterers, men, women, EVERYONE. His two greatest commandments were "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind" and "Love your neighbour as you love yourself." Showing love and kindness to everyone is what makes you a good Christian. Gender doesn't enter the equation. Please believe that.

Heh, I may be far from being batshit insane, but I am also far from being an exemplary Christian myself. Still need to work on practicing what I preach (literally). Thank you, though! And about your "logical" comment- it's kind of funny, because I was talking to a friend of mine today about how logic doesn't have much to do with my beliefs, when you get right down to it. It's more about faith. But I'll try not to go on a religious tangent here. ^^0

Well- on the 'logical' tangent, I was talking about how you've taken a religion that everyone else sees as black and white and formed your own opinion of the writings, the people and the teachings. Usually people just take what their pastors give to them as the Word but you've kind of made reinterpretation into an art form without losing your faith.

In other words?

RESPECT.
