The manga is still ongoing, but the anime was "concluded" with an open ending, like Matantei Loki Ragnarok was.

Most of my favorite shows as a child had anthropomorphic animals. Because most shows for children starred anthropomorphic animals. Darkwing Duck, Tailspin, The Raccoons, Scrooge McDuck, this awesome noir type show half with a dog puppet, and then half with a dog cartoon, Stunt Dogs...

Was it all a twisted plan to make us grow up to have sex in Winnie the Poo suits?

I'm the exact same way; I can't stand shoujo overall (there are maybe two exceptions), and while I never got into DBZ, I'd watch it over Sailor Moon anyday. I'm a girly-girl, too. Just can't stand shoujo.

Edit: Not really into BL, either. Doesn't make you not feminine or not a "real" girl, it just means you have different taste from the ones that do like that stuff. I know lots of girls who don't like shoujo, SM or BL.

In one of those cases where the serial comma would've cleared this up--I'm confused as to whether you meant you know girls who like neither shoujo nor SM nor BL, or that you know girls who don't like shoujo, be it SM or BL (implying that both Sailor Moon and Boys Love are shoujo...)
