101. If there's something good about the second trilogy (Episodes 1-3), is that scene with Yoda fucking kicking ass was the highlight. It almost had me out of my seat saying "Holy shit!" Fuck yeah.

104. After the shitty ending of Full Moon, I'm so glad that I sold my Gentleman Alliance Cross because I got so bored with it that even the trap and Ushio didn't hold my interest. Ushio was my second fave, to hear that she became a cliche shoujo character is disappointing.

147. YES. Gokudera in the Gamma/Gokudera fight made go "DAYYYYYYYYUM, that boy is working that outfit." Not surprising since his 10 year older self had been hit with the sexy stick the hardest out of the guardians, IMO. It was one of the few times I would so hit a fictional character with force of a thousand times and I felt perverted since Gokudera is only 14 and so, so thankful there's no real 14 year old like him.

I think he and Neliel would get along for some reason, I don't know why.

168. I generally dislike shoujo and like shounen too, but I loved Sailor Moon. Why? It's a show about women by women for women, in which the plot revolves around kicking ass. (As opposed to most shoujo, which is about waffy romances. Yeah there was some Usagi/Mamoru, but each episode involved the smackdown of a monster or two. Also as opposed to shows about women kicking ass, but are by men for men, and tend to be degrading hypersexualized BS.)

Also, lesbians. *cough* I mean cousins.

Also, make no mistake: there is plenty of "shoujo" for boys and "shounen" for girls out there. Increasingly the latter.

But yeah, the dub of Sailor Moon was what got me into anime, when I was all of seven. They were pretty, they were angsty, and they took care of each other and the world. Awesome. (Also, I couldn't handle the pacing of DBZ. I seriously couldn't.)

I am also finding that "shoujo" and "shounen" just aren't working as clear-cut categories anymore. Is Mai-HiME, with its relationship-driven drama but male fanservice, really shounen? And where does Nabari no Ou belong, with its female-aimed fanservice but Naruto-esque action and plot?
