Aja (bookshop) turned to PoT and "abandoned" Harry Potter for it. Hey, that's the word on the wank at least. As a friend of Aja's, I can say she's just like any other fangirl, and hey, interests change, but for her to now be credited with ANY ENTIRE FANDOM MIGRATION is a pretty big step. 9__9

All that said, I sort of want to punch OP #125 in the e-mouth.

I'm on bookshop's flist as well (wouldn't call myself a friend, though, since I don't know her that well--I just really enjoy her entries and fandom meta :D), and she was the only BNF of any sort that I knew had made the move from primarily Potter to promarily PoT.

We share quite a few fandoms in common, and I think it just means that all the fandoms have the ingredients for attracting fangirls such as she and I and others. No one abandoned anything--like you said, interests change.

She was the only BNF. It's a ridiculous insinuation that this army of fandom-zombies followed her. A lot were interested in the series by hearing her talk about it, but that's just because she has a way of making things you don't know about sound very interesting. To be honest, I couldn't stand the TeniPuri stuff on her journal until I finally broke down last year and said "okay, fine, teach, impart, instruct." I guess she owed me after I introduced her to "Monster".

I don't see scads of people moving over to the "Monster" fandom even though it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. Or HnG. Also greatest thing ever.

Logic, OP: UR DOIN IT WRONG.
