I'm not sure she was my favorite, but I did find her character really interesting.

I wished they had done more with her with her and Netta.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Diana, but I would have been happy to sacrifice a minute or two of the scene in the hotsprings cave (and from the dress-shopping) for a bit more Netta, or some Maru backstory flashback.

I agree. That was one thing that I wanted: More character development for people who weren't Diana. I still enjoyed the movie, but it would have been better with more backstory for others.

There was a really good review on tor.com that, while being squeeful about the good stuff, was also forthright about the things that could have been better.
