Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

they're probably not gay, since the new trend is straight people appropriating gay symbols and fashions to make it impossible for us to identify each other.

let me guess, you think it's okay for white people to have dreads because it's "just a hairstyle"

nayrt
It totally is.

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yes it is. But also because dreads have roots in like... almost every culture, including Germanic and Viking, which were pretty damn white. So yeah, I have no problem with white people wearing dreads even if personally I don't like the hairstyle.

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
that is plain not true, tho. Germanic and Viking cultures wore BRAIDS, which are totally different from dreads. white people dont have the type of hair that forms natural dreads.

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
You can believe that dreads are appropriation without believing that this is appropriation

It's not like if the person wearing the shirt's gay they'll automatically go on a date with OP, though, so it can't hurt to ask.

still fucking annoying when all the str8 chicks come into the gay bar with their fucking rainbow tshirts and throw a tantrum when a lesbian DARES to hit on them

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Newsflash: A great many women generally don't like being hit on by strangers. Maybe you need to work on your approach.

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
DA

Seriously, what the fuck. Why can't straight people understand that not everything is for them?

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Wat. NAYRT but I'm pretty sure AYRT said some women don't like being hit on by strangers, not some women don't like being hit on by women.

How did you leap to 'HDU PREDATORY GAYS HIT ON THAT INNOCENT STRAIGHT WOMAN'? A trampoline?

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
the point is that we gays are tired of straight women coming into our bars & clubs so they can creepily ogle gay men and then get offended when lesbians flirt with them. like, what the fuck do you expect when you go into a gay bar?

I'm a straight woman who just likes hanging out in gay bars sometimes and doesn't get offended if lesbians flirt. :P

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
So what you're saying is that, when a woman hits on a woman in a gay bar, that's wrong?

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
yes, that is exactly what they are saying.

Re: Do straight people wear rainbow stuff/I have no gaydar, help

(Anonymous) 2017-06-13 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
They said that, when a woman hits on a woman in a gay bar, the first woman is the one who's doing something wrong.

I'm saying maybe you were being to pushy to expect a polite rebuff.
