saw the number 23 because of jim carrey - and vowed never to watch a movie because of a particular actor ever again :p

that said, i watched lucy because the idea of watching scarlett johansson kick things for two hours didn't seem like something that could go wrong

it wasn't *bad*, just... directionless? like rather than being a thriller about his race against the number, it felt like it turned into just a celebration of the enigma and the lore behind it

and while the character himself and the thriller aspect was interesting, the enigma itself isn't
