I liked this movie.

My favorite part was probably the brother-sister relationship between Grace & Faris's characters

As for the actual content of your secret, I get that. I actually saw The Social Network when it came out because someone described it as being like a John Hughes film, and, while I liked it, it's really not. I totally understand wanting more films of that ilk.
