Being denied housing, medical treatment, or being fired for your sexual orientation is oppression. What's happening to gay men in Chechnya is also oppression, of a much worse variety. Both are oppression, but one is more extreme and horrific.

People making fun of you on the internet for not having sex? That is not oppression.

Also, the fact that you're using the suffering of real people as a "gotcha" is disgusting. This is exactly why LGBT people do not want to be associated with non-LGBT asexuals. Because your persecution complex inevitably leads to this sort of homophobic bullshit.
