Hmm... I was going to comment then you didn't get very far in, but then realized I only really remember Epona being necessary to access the Gerudo Fortress the first time.

She was the cutest.

You can actually finish the game without Epona, there are other ways to cross the broken bridge.

Oh, I had no idea. I am actually curious about that. It's so amazing that even after all this time you can find out something new about that game, haha.

You can just hookshot across. Epona really isn't necessary for any part of the game at all. I knew someone who completed it without realizing you even could get Epona.
