I think most people on the internet have piss poor reading comprehension

the lack of tone and gesture really worsens the reading comp honestly

I definitely do. But my reason is a combination of shitty eyes and having to stare at a computer screen all day long, so sometimes the fatigue kicks in and I'll misread a word or sentence.

OMG yes, that drives me crazy.

So many times I'll post something somewhere, for example, wanting band recommendations in a certain genre, and I'll specifically say "I already love bands A, B, and C and I really don't like D, E and F, so which others besides those would you recommend?" and I'll inevitably get comments saying "you have to check out B, they're awesome"...yes, I already said I like them. Or "D is great, you should get all their albums" when I already said I disliked them. And I end up having to say thanks because saying "I already said I liked/disliked that band, can't you fucking read?" is rude.
