I get irrationally angry when I see people misspell y'all.

Gillian Flynn is notorious for this in her books and stories. I love her books and stories, but every time I come across a ya'll, it drives me nuts.

YES. Ya'll makes no fucking sense. I used to have a friend who did that all the time and it annoyed the crap out of me.

I'm the opposite, I'm firmly in the ya'll camp because it's a contraction of ya, and all. Have ya seen mah shoes?

It's not ha'not, it's haven't. It's not I'is it's it's. It's not y'have it's you've. Contractions don't shorten the first word!

Ya and All makes ya'll.

But it's not short for ya all, it's short for you all, so y'all makes more sense.
