As in you're not supposed to hate this character.

I hated Rose by the time I stopped watching Doctor Who. She was so annoying.

Same. I liked her with Nine, but she irritated the hell out of me with Ten. I was pretty close to hating Clara too, but she was fun with Twelve.

I don't know that I hated her. I do hate Rose/Doctor. I did find Rose a bit annoying, and more than that I hated the way the show was all "Rose was the best companion ever and the Doctor's one true love." But outside of the romance I didn't hate her bits in Journey's End. I more hated the whole idea of her as this amazing, special, best companion ever.

Rose brought out the worst in 10. He was pretty damn insufferable at the end of his tenure.

Actually, 10. You're not supposed to dislike the hero/protag/titular show character, I'm reasonably certain.

The female character that tumblr calls their queen. Every fandom.

I always end up hating the male slut, always. Like Osomatsu-san's Totty, he's the only Matsu I hate or the slut prince in the Haine anime.

Ted Mosby. I would really like to punch him in the face.

Xander Harris. I just don't like him and I don't think I ever will.

Maeglin. Eol. Manwe. These may be the only three Tolkien characters I actively dislike.

Darcy Lewis in the MCU.

Oh, yes, forgot her. Darcy is the worst.

I don't hate her in the Thor movies, but I do hate her in most of her depictions in fanfiction.

Well, he kind of poisoned the whole show for me so I stopped being able to ignore problems with the writing, but Captain Hook on Once Upon a Time. What an asshole.

tbh though thats kinda also "the fans made me hate him" but I did hate how he was so instantly forgiven in the narrative when he did nothing to earn it
