I know who John Green is, of course, but what is this John Green fiasco you speak of? (It's going to make me mad, isn't it?)

Some girls on Tumblr said it was creepy that John Green is a grown man who writes about teenage girls and it's obviously his predatory way of getting lots of fans who are teenage girls so he can get them to trust him and then take advantage of them at book fairs and the like. John Green himself got notice of the accusations and defended himself, which made him look worse to the haters because uh like if his intentions weren't bad, he wouldn't need to defend himself against people who had already decided it was a fact and were spreading warnings that he was a predator!
