Posted in the wrong thread, posting in the right one now...

It could be several things, like shipping her with other characters or the fact that a lot of people just self-inserted as Hermione and thought Ron was not worthy of her. (Not saying this is always the case, but just from what I've seen from afar).

Imo she was very flawed (self-righteous, stubborn as hell, etc.) but Ron was the one that always got the short end of the stick.

I love her flaws (in a way that irritates me too, you know) and it bugs me that so many people ignore them.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of fanfiction just painted over her characterization and made her into whatever character people who wrote about her wanted her to be.
