The Ron/Hermione pairing is the only reason that I could stomach Hermione most of the time. The know-it-all aspect of her personality drove me up a wall; there are ways to give out knowledge without this attitude; I've known quite a few people that can pull it off.

Looking at you, Bill Nye!

By the time that was toned down enough to be stomachable, she damn near became a Mary Sue. One of these days, someone will write a kick-ass girl/woman that's actually balanced, I hope.

So, I don't understand the Ron hate at all because he was just the normal kid to me; the one that we should all relate to because he wasn't super special like Harry and Hermione, and even the rest of his siblings. Sometimes, he was an ass; sometimes, he knew the perfect thing to say/do, like most of us.

But maybe that's why he's hated so much; because people relate to strongly to him and they wanted to be one of the special people in this world...
