I always order red wine because I don't know enough cocktail/mixed drink types to not sound like an idiot when I go out with friends. I have no sense of what's normal or not normal for certain bars/pubs to have, so I go for red wine. If not that, cider.

I worry about what's normal to order too. I once asked for a bellini at a restaurant and the waitress had no idea what I was talking about. I thought that was pretty common.

Thirding this.

I was at a Bar Louie when the bartender told me he couldn't make me a 7 and 7. I think it was because they didn't carry 7Up, but I don't know for sure. I was surprised and kind of sad.

And yeah, I would think bellinis are pretty common. Even if they didn't have the stuff to make it, I would think the waitress would have known what it is/would have at least heard of it before.

For getting drunk, some kind of citrus vodka with a chaser.

For flavor, some kind of dessert wine.

Whiskey. Beer.

Amarula

Any kind of sweet wine is my favorite. Dessert wines, moscato, etc. I drink a lot of hard cider too. I also love frozen daiquiris and mudslides.

Are you a fan of ice wine?

Pinot grigio

Red wine. Usually some kind of Pinot Noir.

Hope this doesn't sound like a cop out but a lot of different ones depending on my mood, where I am and what I'm eating, including:
most wines except super sweet whites
a shot of good whiskey, especially Macallan's
good quality beer, no pee water
sweet mixed drinks like pina coladas, banana daiquiris, chocolate martinis, flavored margaritas, etc.

Rum and coke.

St. Germaine and champagne

Depends on my mood. Bailey's. A tequila or rum-based cocktail. If I want something less strong, Dos Eques beer or hard cider.

Depends on the situation and/or mood. I generally go for white wine or some kind of beer. Daiquiris are delicious but too much work.

ex-bartender here, get me some rum and bananas and stuff and I can make daiquiris for us both! Or banana sunrises if you prefer.

When I make them myself Mojitos, when I go out I drink battery/Jäger or rom/coke because I am boring and don't like beer.

Beer, red wine, or whiskey, generally. Though I'm in love with these fruit-flavored sparkling jelly sakes right now, too. Soooo refreshing in the summer heat!

Sweet wine like pink moscato. I've also really been into pineapple juice and cake flavored vodka recently. It's kind of a perfect no-hassle fruity summer drink.

Whiskey sour.

I really love mojitos.

And Long Island Iced Teas.
