I didn't think it was that boring, but I guess it moves at kind of a... relaxed pace? I saw it in the theater, so I was a captive audience and just had to roll with it. I recall, though, that you do need to pay attention to get what is going on, but the movie doesn't make a huge deal of which bits you should pay attention to, so it was kind of confusing and I had to check it out from the library a while later and watch it again just to better understand what was going on.
