Gosh I am sorry anon. Sounds like you are in a tough spot. It really sucks that VR isn't more helpful.

I'm sure you've already heard "check out at home transcription and data entry jobs" but that is the only advice I can think of. That or find people willing to lie for references, but that probably isn't actually good advice :/
