The book of HTTYD is completely different from the movie & Frankly, all the better. Toothless is a smarmy, talking little dragon in the books.

The book has it's merits - ironically, the plot of the second movie wouldn't have fit at all because everyone loves dragons right from the get go & it's pretty funny - but I like the design choices in the movie better.

I agree. I love both, but the movies are amazing and the changes were great.

Agreed. I honestly didn't enjoy the books much at all, though part of it could be that they're really geared towards a young audience.

This is one of the reasons I'm worried I might hate HTTYD 3. Early on there was a lot of talk about bringing the movies to be closer to the books. I don't know if they're sticking with that or not.
