I like pretty much all the changes or adjustments to the characters the MCU made tbh, a lot of it was trimming the fat from characters with 30+ years of backstory but I like how they've done it in each individual case so far(I will forever slightly mourn not-an-actual-god-Thor but I can roll with a more sci-fi(that's pretty much magic anyway) version they went with).

From what I read on the wiki about the Shadowhunters books everything the show has changed I like so much better. Please keep it that way writers.

Much as I enjoyed Tom Bombadil in the books taking him out made sense and I don't think he would have fit the tone of the movies anyway.

And from what I've read about the books HTTYD is based from I think I prefer what the movies went with.

I agree about MCU. I don't know it as well as DC but I like that they made most of the characters more likable overall and took out some of the more questionable stuff.
