(Anonymous) 2017-06-27 12:08 am (UTC)(link)America is already an outlier in Western nations about healthcare and it's poised to boot another 22 million people off of health insurance. Students may be reading about America as the failed capitalist state in 100 years, but possibly not in America as we gut our education system. People are already pointing to us about both those things and going "look at all those bankrupt sick and dying people, you think that's BETTER than Canada/Western Europe?"
And I like capitalism in theory.

I'm not against reforms, I think it's very necessary that America socializes things like health care. But, I am against economic extremism. Balance is really important.
