Text: Sometimes I wonder if some of these custom content makers even PLAY Sims or if they just use it as a sexy paper doll maker. Nobody's Sims look like this!

Mine do! I love getting all that custom content on my Sims. Plus custom sliders and stuff. You can make really nice-looking Sims!

Same. My sims are decked out af.

There's custom content (which I love) but then there's making all your sims look like ultramodels without expression. And that seems to be what so many sims look like on the custom sites. With really dim lighting too for some reason.

Mine definitely look like that, though, haha! They only look expressionless in static photos, which is intentional to show off the custom content. In-game they're still quite expressive. They're just very beautiful too!

I seen way better sims or rather those are not my style (as they can be awesome for some). It is better to make hot sims to pose than go with paid content games doing same (yep, too far gone over here). Cannot say I play sims much these days as I do not like Sims 4, Sims 3 glitches still and Sims 2 is too claustrophobic for me.

I love more detailed hairstyles like those, but the make-up? Not so much because I like the cartoony factors in the games. As all but one of my icons would indicate, I like sims, and I like sims that look like sims, not hyper-real figures wandering around in a cartoon world.

Default replacements, good cc, and custom sliders (for sims 3) make all the difference in the world. Granted some people photoshop the hell out of their sims giving a false impression as to what's possible and false advertising but it's totally possible to have sims look like that.

Even going as far back as sims 2 you had some pretty good looking sims.

This isn't about good looking sims. This is about sims that repeatedly look like the modelist of models and are only seen standing around smouldering instead of doing anything like a normal sim. I love CC and all that sort of stuff but there's customizing and there's just...well, like the pictures I used.

But you wrote in your secret that "nobody's sims look like this..." and that's patently untrue. With the right accoutrement, they could look like this. Not all the time, but when they're standing still, and that's good enough for a screenshot. Are you complaining that people only take screenshots like this instead of more expressive ones? I would assume that cc makers prefer less expressive screenshots because they show off the custom contents more.
