"Beautiful as Aphrodite, Wise as Athena, Swifter than Hermes. and Stronger than Hercules."

I agree that im a casting sense, being a "looker" is not the most important aspect of that. The aspect of Aphrodite, found in women in general, reflects an ordinary beauty. But acting ability is of great importance. Gadot is about the right height, about the right look, and has shown a facility as an actress in general and in action movies. I think you're going to have to relax. Movies are often cast with someone seen in other movies.

It was planned to be Sandra Bullock twenty years ago, and that would have been something. I can deal with it being Gal Gadot.

Yeah, no, Wonder Woman is generally meant to be taller than both Superman (6'2") and Batman (6'1"), but shorter than Big Barda (6'5"). That would put her height as accepted by a majority of comics fans at 6'3".

Though it does vary depending on era and artist, she is still usually understood to be at least 6'. Gal is listed as being 5'10", which means she's likely closer to 5'8" in real people measurements.

TLDR: No she's not "about the right height".

I do agree that facially she's fairly close to most of the Modern Era's Diana art.
