I collect action figures of video game properties mostly for aesthetic reasons (they look cool/cute, liven up my living space), but to me they are just fun to collect.

I own all of the current SSB4 Amiibo because I always liked looking at the in-game trophy collections and wanting one for myself, and now I've moved onto Blizzard Cute but Deadly figurines (OW only). If I had my own house, I'd probably have a room just for collections and have proper display cases, and I'd be able to invest in the prettier, more expensive figures and statues (ex. Digimon Adventure cast, Overwatch statues, etc.)

When I die, whoever gets my stuff could probably auction everything off for a pretty penny. But while I'm alive, it's something I enjoy. It's better to spend my money on that than drugs or alcohol.
