I'm all for people living their lives too. When I start to have a problem is when my collector friend's start complaining about not being able to afford things while sitting surrounded by their collections.

Especially my friend who doesn't work but who fills her life with this crap by spending her husband's not inconsiderable income (five figures). They're now in debt and all she does is complain about how poor they are and how they can't afford a house, to have kids blah blah blah.

SA I know this sounds bitter as fuck. When you're making every conceivable sacrifice in your own life to scrape together a deposit for the only kind of housing you can afford - a one bedroom apartment - hearing about how my friend 'can't afford ' things like a house with a garden because she buys anything and everything that catches her eye makes me incredibly angry.
