I do that sometimes. Depends on what I'm playing it for. Some games are mechanics focused and playing them on easymode removes a lot of what's fun or unique about the game itself. Especially tactical or strategy games.

But RPGs like Dragon Age? Easy all the way, who cares. You're playing for the story. The combat systems are shit and uninteresting anyway and no amount of difficulty is going to make that fun.
