Re: How sick are you of fireworks?

I don't have a problem with fireworks in and of themselves-I like the town-sanctioned fireworks displays, 'cause they only happen at a certain time and there's people there to make sure they go off okay and all that good stuff, and the fireworks themselves can look really cool and pretty. Last night was the town fireworks display, and that took place out by the local high school. We could hear it from where we lived.

No, it's the yahoos shooting stuff off in their own yards that bother me, with their lack of regard for safety issues and their deciding that they really needed to be shooting off these fireworks for the past couple weeks (and firing them very late at night, too, of course, when people are trying to sleep and stuff). It's okay to wait until the actual holiday rolls around to light off fireworks, guys. Really, it is.

And today and yesterday people have been shooting them off during daylight hours, too, which seems very odd.
