Hm. It's hard to say.

I miss the fuck out of LJ, which was very suited to the kind of fan I am, and really the kind of person I am. I also miss the time before almost everything in fandom became rabidly "political." (Scare quotes because so many of the more rabid SJWs are just using the guise of politics to validate their vitriolic spewing of self-righteous outrage.)

OTOH, fandom has kind of exploded in the last ten years, and as someone who is primarily here to read mountains of fanfic and enjoy mountains of fanart, the more fic/art there is the happier I am. And the easier it is to find and consume said fic/art, the happier I am. So in that regard, I prefer the fandom of today to the fandom of yesteryear.
