Not mine, but I was reading a fic earlier today that was a harmless soulmate AU oneshot and the latest comment on it was an anon who input their name as You need and their entire comment was just "You need Jesus." It was totally uncalled for, unnecessary, and rude. I feel bad for the author.

Maybe I'm just used to people dropping that line irl, but I'm pretty sure that the anon was trolling. I hope the author didn't take it to heart; I'd probably lol.

I mean, yeah. I know it's a meme and all that, but I'm used to seeing it in conjunction with especially NSFW or explicitly sexual content, which...this wasn't, not really. No moreso than is present in canon. And also I know there's a lot of backlash against soulmate AU fics, so. Idk.

Like anon above you said, maybe it's just that Jesus is a great beta, which I'll admit is a reading I did not consider when posting this comment.
