Same. And the romance between him and Leia skeeved me. Don't see how it was any different from the usual, "I'm going to get into your personal space until you admit you're attracted to me even if you say no." And OF COURSE she's secretly attracted to him.

Gah, there are some parts of the OT I liked. And then others I really didn't.

Han/Leia is all sorts of things I usually hate. But somehow it works for me with them, and only them. Not sure why.

Yes, good point. I've never liked that trope. I think that relationship and portrayal as "romance" is very much a product of its time. Which is not to say that it doesn't happen now, it's just that it feels more dated now than it might have done back then.
