Couldn't agree more. Ruined the show and the fandom for me.

And I'm still peeved about Korra/Asami because I felt like they had little chemistry and was tacked on and this is coming from someone who reads femslash like it's oxygen.

I would say that 20% of the argument is because of idiots who don't see him as morally grey, and 80% of the argument is people responding to said idiots.

Also because seeing him as "morally grey" is also a generalization in itself and people tend to emphasize things one way or the other. But mostly, it's idiots.
