Honestly, I never was into their "epic romance." I know that for a lot of people it's one of the reasons why they like Star Wars, but I liked them a lot better in the group dynamic than how they treated each other as a couple. The best comparison I can make for them is a Rumiko Takahashi couple, where it's a sort-of-jerkish but really-he-has-a-heart-of-gold-guys dude and a normally reasonable girl who lets the asshole get under her skin and they end up fighting all the time because ~~~~Sexual Tension~~~~.

I feel kind of bad for it, but I'm glad their relationship didn't go all butterflies and rainbows after the original trilogy. IMO, it could never have worked without being bumpy. Honestly? I prefer it that way, not every couple works out.

In the interest of fairness, I definitely could see that the characters cared for each other, it's just that I don't think they were cut out to be in that kind of relationship long term.

The fact that Han is 29 while Leia is 19 just makes him a predatory creep in my eyes and makes the ship skeevy. Not to mention Han/Leia shippers are unbearable.

lmao, predatory? It is not the age, it is the habits of the ones involved. If Leia were under 18 or childlike and/or if Han had a habit of picking up teenaged girls, I might agree he was predatory.

And stop making ugly generalizations about other fans. You don't exactly sound like a peach yourself.
