I've never watched HIMYM (I generally don't do sitcoms) but I agree with you 1000% on Xander Fucking Harris.

I'm not sure why I love HIMYM. I usually don't do sitcoms or comedy shows. But I started watching for Allison, and then fell in love with some of the other characters. And at least parts of the humor were funny to me, and comedy usually doesn't work for me. I don't know.
