Re: Which popular scenes fall flat for you?

Same. I see it compared to Moana's walk through the sea to Te Ka, but that scene had me cathartic-sobbing so hard and the Diana one was just kind of... "Welp, she's finally doing something." It also bugged me that she couldn't do it on her own and needed to inspire the guys to make a charge and take away some of the pressure so she could finish it.

It felt framed as the 'real victory' was Steve taking her more seriously at that point and finally being willing to support her.

So in the spirit of comparing the movies, it was the equivalent of Moana tricking Tomatoa and rescuing them, and then Maui realizing he was wrong to doubt her. Which to me was handled a lot better since it was much more lighthearted and didn't try to be a big dramatic moment.

It just didn't quite feel like a satisfactory payoff to an hour of Diana getting lovingly curbstomped every time she tried to be unladylike, from both her mom and Steve and everyone except Antiope. I think I would have liked it better if it was a little faster and more actiony, less catwalk, and no needing help to finish it.
